About Us
Our history
We started out as a couple of ambitious guys who were disillusioned with the way recruitment was being done by the existing companies recruiting for the design, construction and engineering markets. We saw an opportunity to out-compete the existing players on service, ethics, and the way many great recruitment consultants were being treated by their employers.
We founded Amida in 2009 and started creating a contemporary, service-orientated, values-driven recruitment agency. Since then we have been joined by some of the best construction, property and engineering recruiters from around the world and developed a few great new ones internally over the years ourselves.
We now have over 50 staff operating from 6 countries and cover 3 core market sectors: Built Environment business covers Property, Construction, and Engineering; our Healthcare business specialists in providing Healthcare professionals and our Consulting Solutions business services and management consultancy sector internationally.
What we do
We still work with many of those clients and candidates that gave us a go in year one and have grown our client portfolio impressively. Our service-orientated approach has enabled us to build many exclusive and semi-exclusive client relationships which means we can offer our candidates a large variety of options that may be different to the mainstream agencies. Our client base includes a wide array of firms and public authorities, ranging from architects, consultancies, engineering firms, construction companies, large global corporations to SMEs.

Payroll
Amida is able to offer a low-cost compliant payroll service covering any freelance or contract workers under PAYE, Umbrella including payroll, in addition to the UK, in a number of European and Asian locations. We are also able to facilitate Limited Company payroll including assisting with IR35 determinations.
